Do you want to play a positive role in keeping Bristol’s traffic moving?

Civil Enforcement Officers play a vital role in ensuring that the transport system operates safely and that congestion is minimised. In order to deliver an improved service we have undertaken an extensive review and we now invite motivated individuals to join this dynamic team.

Parking Enforcement is the primary function of the role but as a high profile Council employee you will also help members of the public and visitors to the City as part of your daily routines.

You will possess good written and verbal communication skills and experience of working with members of the public. You must be fit and able to work shifts outdoors in all weathers, full uniform and protective clothing is provided. Ideally you will hold a full, clean driving licence and be prepared to work towards an NVQ2 qualification.

Full training and support will be provided.

Fixed term for 12 months

Key to the role is attention to detail with the ability to work methodically and accurately, applying complex processes across a varied set off circumstances.

Candidates must be customer-focussed, with the ability to communicate detailed and sometimes complex requirements in way that helps us to deal with customers’ claims as quickly and as accurately as possible.

Unless you have extensive experience in this very specialised area of work the starting salary will be £17,161

The Senior Housing Advisor is pivotal to the delivery of high quality, customer focused and equitable estate management services to Bristol City Council tenants. We are looking for somebody who is highly self motivated, enjoys meeting people and making a difference to their lives and the neighbourhoods they live in.

As a Senior Housing Advisor you will lead the delivery of estate management services to tenants in a specific area. You will work with Assistant Housing Advisors and pass work to them as appropriate. You will have excellent people skills and the ability and experience to resolve anti social behaviour through early intervention; respond to reports of hate crime and domestic violence; give high quality advice relating to complex tenancy matters; undertake tenancy enforcement action where appropriate; encourage tenant involvement as well as champion the needs of more vulnerable households and work closely with partners to ensure that the best outcomes are achieved for our tenants.

A high level of travel around the area and interaction with our tenants will be required. Attendance at tenants meetings including evening meetings is an integral part of this role.

Bristol City Council is embarking on an ambitious programme of energy efficiency and renewable energy for public buildings, social housing and private housing. To achieve this the Council is planning to set up an energy services company, to create public-private partnerships and to procure technical, financial and legal support to plan and initiate over £100m of investment.

To kick-start this programme we are seeking an experienced project manager with good knowledge of the energy field. You will need good communication skills and the ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team of staff and consultants.

Responsible to the Service Director for Bristol Futures the post holder will project manage the start-up phase of the Programme. This will include developing detailed plans for the project including stakeholder engagement, recruiting a Commercial Director who will lead the Energy company and supporting the Director in delivery of the first phase of the project.
