City Council's new Cabinet

Council Leader Councillor Barbara Janke has announced details of Bristol City Council’s new Cabinet following the change of leadership of the authority after the Full Council meeting on Tuesday, 24 February.
The Cabinet is responsible for leading the council, developing and approving policy and overseeing the delivery of services, as well as working with the community and key partners.
Cllr Janke said: “We are all set to roll up our sleeves and get on with the job. It isn’t an easy time to take over mid-term with the city, like the rest of the UK, in recession and the council in the middle of a major restructuring, with some posts yet to be filled – such as the Director of Children, Young People and Skills. However, we have the commitment and drive to see this period through with the support of the people of Bristol.”
