A new Child Protection Notetaker is required to join the Child Protection Conference Service based at Broadwalk Annexe.

This service is responsible for arranging multi-agency child protection conferences in various locations around Bristol. You will attend these conferences and will be responsible for ensuring that the discussions and outcomes are recorded accurately. You will work closely with Reviewing Managers, Social Workers and professionals from external agencies and will be expected to effectively manage a busy workload.

You will deal with child protection issues in a professional manner and will adhere to strict confidentiality and information security guidelines at all times.

You will be an effective communicator and facilitator, working with both Children and their families, professionals and settings to gain trust and build relationships. You will have a ‘can do’ attitude, an ability to work creatively and to work in isolation and as part of a team.

Please note: this post is subject to Enhanced CRB clearance, and an ability to work weekends and evenings.

We are looking for an ESOL development worker to help us set up and develop a range of ‘language for rights’ activities.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to deliver a range of information and community learning services to newly arrived migrants.

This post will involve working with a team of volunteers who will support migrants to access learning, community engagement, health and employment opportunities.

This post will also involve making effective links with local employers and migrant workers to ensure they can access language and wider skills development support.

This work is being jointly funded through different income streams and is designed to contribute to a wide range of local government priorities.

We are looking for a self motivated person to join our busy Premises Service team based in the Council House on College Green. The post holder will support the Service Manager Facilities Management and administer the finances of Facilities Management in accordance with agreed budgets and support the Facilities Management Practice by forecasting budget variances and controlling and monitoring expenditure. You will be able to design and maintain comprehensive financial and admin systems relevant to the operations of Facilities Management and compile statistics as required by each section of Facilities Management. Responsible for provision of an administrative and financial service to assist the Accommodation Team, Building Services, Conference Service and Mail Service and assist with the delivery and improvement of the service.

Including daily supervision of care-taking staff, allocating, instructing, directing, organising, checking and advising on work activities. Excellent supervisory and communication skills are required in this post as well as the ability to work well in a team. Premises Service is a developing service within the Council and it is expected that the successful candidate will actively participate and influence taking the service forward.

The post involves working between the hours of 08.00 – 17.00 Monday to Friday and the post holder may also be expected to work outside of normal hours as the service requires. This post is a fixed term appointment to cover for Maternity leave and is subject to Medical clearance.
