Under the Landlord Transformation Programme and the implementation of a new organisational structure we have 2 vacancies for the post of Trade Supervisor (Electrical).

Working within the Responsive Repairs service the postholder will be responsible for the supervision of the electrical trade group providing repairs and improvements to Council owned dwellings and properties managed by Landlord Services, including responsive repairs, relets and planned cyclical maintenance.

They will be responsible for for ensuring high quality work from electrical operatives, getting work done “right-first-time” and achieving high customer satisfaction whilst staying within budgetary targets and providing a cost effective, value for money service.

The postholder will ensure staff performance is maintained to a high standard of delivery and customer satisfaction through the regular monitoring, of both team and individual targets. They will identify and effectively manage any day-to-day performance issues, referring persistent failures and development issues to the Trade Manager.

Applicants will need to have

• At least two years professional experience in the construction electrical trade.
• Have served a recognised electrical trade apprenticeship and have a City Guilds 2382 17th Edition qualification, or equivalent.
• One years experience of planning, programming and monitoring resources in relation to workloads.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety issues and requirements related to the Construction Industry
• Commitment, experience and ability to lead, motivate and develop staff to continuously improve the customer’s experience and to improve performance.
• Excellent communication skills, using oral, written and electronic media, so that information is clearly understood and acted upon by individual recipients or the team.
